jesse is lapsed scientist who lives and works in new york city. jesse earned a b.a. in biology at lehigh university, a ph.d in bacterial genetics at the university of virginia and studied the evolution of microbial communication as a postdoctoral fellow at new york university

always eager to experiment with variables, his photography explores the interplay between the conceptual and the mundane with a focus on the subtle interactions of people with their environment

his photography has been published in the nytimes.com, LIFE.com, jpg magazine, storybleed.com,and cake magazine as well as the recently published book art of iphoneography. it has also been featured on mediabistro.com, gothamist.com, and gridskipper.com

his work has been exhibited at the 2012 odapark contemporary art center, the 2011 iphoneography show at matre gallery, 2011 mobile artcon, the 2010 eye'em new york city exhibition, and 2009 mediabistro circus
